Privacy Policy

LawSpaceMatch.com is committed to safeguarding your privacy online whenever you use our Web Site. Please review the following Privacy Policy so that you may understand how your personal information will be treated as you make full use of our many offerings.

WHAT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT ME DO YOU COLLECT?

We may collect different types of information in several different ways from our Web Site.

Initially, you may browse our Web Site without submitting any personal information. If you choose to take advantage of some of our specific services that are available to Users, however, you will be asked to register. As part of registering we may ask for personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, and other information. We keep all of your personally identifiable information in secure online and offline facilities. After registration is complete, you may also: (i) post an Attorney Profile allowing you to upload a resume in a PDF format and provide a photograph and other information such as practice area, years of practice, and undergraduate and alumni law school, and/or (ii) post available space for space sharing with other attorneys. Once you register, and post a profile, your use of our Web Site will no longer be anonymous and you will be able to take full advantage of the specialized offerings on our Web Site.

In addition to registration we may ask you for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you request information about a law firm or attorney, order a product, or promotion sponsored by us or you may provide us with personal information when you send us a letter or email message, such as if you report a problem with our Web Site or services. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

From time to time, we also may ask Users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. Wherever we collect personal information, the information you provide will be subject to the terms of this Policy. In addition, we may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, however, will not be linked to your personally identifiable information.

Finally, our site also may contain links and advertisements to other Web Sites that are operated by other companies or persons. Therefore, we do not control the privacy policies of those sites. This Policy statement only applies to information collected and maintained by us.

HOW DO YOU USE MY INFORMATION?

Our primary goal in collecting personally identifiable and other information is to provide you, the User, with a customized experience on our Web Site. This includes personalization services and many other types of services. By knowing a little about you, we are able to deliver more relevant advertisements and content, and hence a better and more valuable service, to you. For example, the more we know about the type of law space or geographic area in which you are interested, the more appropriate information we can deliver to you.

In our role of delivering targeted advertisements, we play the middleman. Advertisers give us an advertisement and tell us the type of audience they want to reach (for example, females over 35 years old). We and/or our advertising server agency take the advertisement and display or transmit it to users meeting those criteria. In this process, the advertiser never has access to individual account information. Only we have access to individuals' accounts. This kind of advertisement targeting is done with banner ads.

In addition, we do research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us upon registration, during a promotion, from our server log files, or from surveys. We do this to better understand and serve our Users. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis and may be shared with advertisers or business partners. We also collect IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate, non-personal identifiable information to our advertisers. For this purpose, no personally identifiable information will be linked to any information that can identify any individual person.

WHO BESIDES YOU IS COLLECTING MY INFORMATION?

When you are using our Web Site and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with us alone, unless it is specifically stated otherwise. However, promotions that run on our Web Site also may be sponsored by companies other than us or may be cosponsored by us and another company. Some or all data collected during a promotion may be shared with the sponsor. If data from your entry will be shared, you will be notified prior to the time of data collection. You can decide not to participate in the promotion if you do not want to share your information.
